Use of Radar Imagery
Meteorological radar images usually provide us with information about 4-hour weather forecasts and warnings. Radars are mostly used to detect meteorological events that may cause sudden floods and inundations. There are different systems for longer-term forecasts. With radar images, events such as hail, heavy rain, strong storms, tornadoes can be detected. Detecting in advance the negative effects that high rainfall, floods and inundations that may occur in risky areas can save time for warnings and precautions.
